A bit about myself and what I've gained from C.A.S in general...

Hi :) I am Claire Warner and I'm currently studying the IB Diploma here at the Regent's School, Thailand. This blog represents want I've done in terms of C.A.S (Creativity, Action, Service) since 2009. Therefore, within the two-year period. I am a motivated individual who likes to try out new activities and challenges. I am bilingual, therefore I can speak both languages (English and Thai) clearly. This is an advantage for me when I participant in Service-based activities. I am able to communicate to the local Thai people efficiently. Moreover, my passion is singing and therefore I love to try out different styles of singing such as soul (e.g. Alicea Keys). Also, my generation as I've noticed prefers more of the club-like music which are composed of the heavy beats. Even though, I do love these type of music, I try to push myself to explore different types of music. Therefore, such as singing the Beatles for a school band. The experience has made me accept other types of music, especially old music where before I've neglected. Furthermore, I love to play football. My strengths lie within this sport. However, I've also tried a different sport, windsurfing which I've never tried before in my life! C.A.S has really opened my options up and in a sense changed my perspective on 'trying out new activities'. Before, I would only stick to what I am good at. Therefore, in the future when I am in university, I would like try out dancing (maybe Salsa). I believe that the IB course in general has trained me for the future. This is due to the C.A.S as it reflects the 'real life situation'. We don't just work throughout our lives constantly. Often there is a balance between 'work' and 'play', and I believe that C.A.S has helped me to balance my time wisely.
